iN THE BELMONT WiTH THE BUTTERFLY WAiST CHAiN
a poem about a one night stand turned two week bender
I was on my BEST BEHAViOR Till I met her On KiNG STREET In the BELMONT With the LiGHTS OFF If I'm not careful She'll turn me into an ADDiCT Gotta have it Right when I was undoing the damage Right when I was learning my manners She had HOME COURT ADVANTAGE This is her state baby SOUTH CAROLiNA NATiVE She a MODEL LADY So skinny, so crazy High stakes daily She a WASiAN MAMi Acting like she want it That's love, that's famous She feral, she dangerous She amazing PURE SENSATiON She came my way Didn't need no persuading With the ribbons in her cowboy boots The butterfly waist chain The glitter on her blue eyelids Cool exterior but I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S BEHiND THiS? She something else Got me feeling reckless No possession, only wrestling FREE SPiRiT Her eyes are equal parts kindness Equal parts threat But I'm down to duel To play all night Heat is prevalent Had to be a REAL GENTLEMAN And tuck her in PYT with the bob and the long legs Silver rings and a hoop that's lost Behind my bed Right there with my head Turned down a swing with FRENCHiE and HiS BLONDiE Took some shots with the bearded bartender (rocking all black) The owner sat next and told me to take care of her She a HOMETOWN GiRL The type in those BLACK and WHiTE MOViES I'll take care of her sir Don't you worry Ready to pay whatever the price is Nasty dancer but I swear SHE THE NiCEST
Not only did I write this after our second night—I also made a demo track with lyrics inspired by the poem.
Once that’s mix & mastered, I’ll update and share it here.
And in case you’re wondering, we (as in my cat Sophie) found the earring.
